Steps: Check the current oil level Warm up the engine: 3–minutes in the water. (for the 2008 rev the engine to 4000 RPM before killing it.) Prepare for extraction: remove seat, deck, Dipstick & loosen filler cap. Extract the old oil: Extractor pump (negative terminal first) Perform a brief 'flooded start' : Crucial step - remove the extraction hose before starting. For not more than 5 seconds hold the throttle at full and start button to turn over. Extract again : re-insert extraction tube and pump again (if you have less than 2.25 quarts and the level measured in step 1 was within normal range, then repeat steps 5 & 6 again Replace the oil filter and O-rings: New filter & seals.
